Laser Cutting & Engraving FAQ’s

Frequently Asked Questions about our quality laser cutting, engraving and skilled fabrication services to design professionals across the USA.

What materials do you cut?

We can cut a wide variety of materials using our lasers and CNC Routers. For a more comprehensive listing of the materials that we work with please call and speak to a consultant, but as a simple rule we will cut most materials with the exception of Glass and Metal (although they can be engraved)

Do you have a minimum order?

No job is too small OR too big.

Can you arrange shipping/delivery?

Yes. We can arrange for overnight and same day delivery of your items for you. We use an external courier and charge that cost onto you. You are also welcome to arrange for your own vehicles to pickup from us if that is more convenient for you.

How long does it take to run a job?

This completely depends on the job itself, how much artwork, cutting and fabrication is involved. To give an idea though, a ‘simple’ laser cutting job (i.e. artwork is supplied for us) should take no more than 3 days to process.

Do you offer a fastrack service?

Many of our customers choose to take advantage of our fastrack service for their laser cut components. You will pay a small premium for receiving your items in a shorter timescale but we can quote on both a regular or fastrack basis before commencing with your cutting.

What file formats can you use?

For any laser or CNC cutting we can use AutoCAD dxf/dwg files. Please ensure that all lines on your cad drawing are drawn as polylines (no hatch, blocks or spline lines) and that all drawings are sent in the scale that you would like the components cut in. Alternatively, we can use illustrator eps files (cs1 or earlier) to cut your components. If no cutting is required and you just need us to etch a material we can use illustrator eps, Corel draw (v10) and jpg files.
